The ride takes us out to Stobs and then follows the route of the Waverley Line until a detour over a few hills to Riccarton Junction, we then retrace the track back to Shankend and follow a track over the hills to Priesthaugh, it’s then along the road back to Hawick.

Gravel rides are very popular at present amongst cyclists. This route mixes some road cycling with off-road tracks and paths.

The ride is on quiet roads and forestry tracks. Mountain bikes or gravel bikes are necessary for this route.

We will set a comfortable pace and take time to stop along the route as necessary for everyone to catch their breath

Helmet, gloves, and appropriate clothing are essential.
