As the title states, we make every effort to avoid the roads and enjoy the waggonways and cycle tracks of the area. We get out at least twice a month (every weekend in the summer months) almost all year round (avoiding the snow and icy days). Routes are put together to take in a cuppa and cake somewhere round the route, distances vary from 20 to 45 miles starting and finishing in the same place for those that could be driving to the start. Our aim is to show people the routes of the area that don't involve cars, buses, motorcycles and other noisy mechanised vehicles disturbing your day. we always travel at the speed of the slowest rider but arrange catch up points if 'breakaways' are suited to some. Any bike is capable of traversing these routes although they are better suited to bikes with a little suspension due to the mixed surfaces of the waggonways and tracks in this area. Newcomers always welcome.
