Want to save a little money or get a little exercise? Think there are too many cars on the road? Want to make a difference but think the roads are too busy? Well come and join me and enjoy a beautiful pedal in to work by bike, save ££’s, loose lb’s, feel good about yourself and reduce air pollution too! This is an inclusive ride which will pause to pick up other riders along its route and drop via the Science Park, Derriford Hospital, Land Registry and Windsor House. It is about 9 miles and about 400ft climbing which takes under an hour usually and downhill most of the way home later. Start will be at 0700 to get to Coypool Park and Ride by 0730 and last stop Windsor House before 0830. Return ride will leave Windsor at 1700 sharp collecting riders at Land Registry, Derriford Hosp., PSP by 1720 then back to Coypool by the shortest route.

Route may alter depending on conditions but whilst fine, the roads will be quieter routes through Plympton to pick up riders and the Plymtrail to get up to Leigham. We join the busier road then to the airport where we cut along the cycle path towards the Science Park. From there it is quieter roads and cycle path to work places as required. Road bikes, Cross and Touring bikes with winter/all-weather tyres are recommended. Road surfaces are generally good, very poor in a couple of places.

No stops other than to pick up riders at the top of Cherry Tree Lane, St Maurice View, bus stop opposite the George, Market Rd carpark by the field and Coypool PnR

Essential’s for the ride: Clothing to suit weather and forecast. Roadworthy bike Working rear and front lights Helmet and gloves spare innertube and tyre levers Recommended: Hi-viz or reflective top Bottle of water Consider: Back-pack or Panniers for work clothing, wet weather stuff etc.

I have commuted this route by bike for several years. I can promise good company and smiles on this cycle to work at a pace to suit the least confident and guarantee lots of support and encouragement for doing so. One more rider means one less car! You can be very proud of yourself!
