This week we will be traveling along our reverse route to The Lake's Distillery.
Welcome to Easy B2B (Back 2 Basics) Saturday Morning ride from Cockermouth high school.
This week we will be travelling out towards Strawberry How on our secret cycle way, then along the back country lanes to skirt the edge of Lorton. We will then turn on towards Wythorp Mill to bring us out and cross the A66 just below Bassenthwaite lake. Don't let this worry you as this will be done safely within our group. Once across we will stop off at our favourite café stop at The Lakes Distillery for a comfort break and refreshments. Then we will be following the second half of the Isle Loop back to Cockermouth.
We always travel at the slowest riders speed with support and encouragement, so no one is ever left behind. This is to enhances our enjoyment of leisurely cycling within the safety of our group.
Please bring with you a road worthy bike, your helmet, clothes you are comfortable cycling in, (easy to remove layers work best), a waterproof jacket, (as you never know), a cold drink for along the way & some money for our café stop. An inner tube that fits your bike is always a good idea, (just in case). All new comers are very welcome, this also includes e-bike rider's with a fully charged battery.
