North Tyneside Circular

We’ll ride eastwards along cycle paths and quiet back roads via West Allotment and Murton to the coast via Monkseaton. We’ll follow the coast to Tynemouth where we'll stop for a hot drink and slice of cake so please bring some money. We’ll return along quiet backstreets and Sustrans route no.10 and before returning through the Rising Sun car park back to Asda. This gentle ride is perfect for beginners and anyone who’s not been on a bike for a while. We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up.  Dress appropriately for the weather: in cold weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a pair of warm gloves and warm socks may also be useful.  It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way.  Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Look forward to seeing you there!
