Oakley Night ride!

Suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes – road bikes will not be the most comfy but may be OK if it is DRY. Only bring a road bike if you know the route and are happy to risk it. I won't be. The route surfaces are mixed - road/tarmac, shared 'footpaths', gravel shared paths and unmade shared path. The route will follow the cycle path to Beggarwood Park and follow the marked cycle routes through Kempshott towards Pack Lane, and the link with the new Oakley to Basingstoke off road path, opened in December 2011, then a little loop on road in Oakley and back the way we came to Portsmouth Arms. It's meant to be a take-it easy mainly off road route for those who want to experience a night ride in a social setting and without having to do much road riding.
