Castleton Christmas Lights

This is just a short road ride (approx 12 miles) up the valley to join the throngs in Castleton admiring the Christmas lights!  As it will be quite gloomy/dark, you will need to have good lights on your bike, ideally a bright jacket and be used to riding in the dark. It is also along the main road so you need to be confident riding in traffic. Wearing a helmet is advisable although you can still come if you don't have one. Reindeer antlers, fairy lights and tinsel are optional although would be welcomed along with lots of Ho Ho Ho's! Lots of warm layers and gloves are a really good idea because the weather could be freezing by then! Bring some change so that we have the option of stopping for a mince pie if they haven't already all been eaten by that time. We'll meet on Oddfellows Road at the entrance to the swimming pool. There's a pay and display car park across the road and even some free on street parking if you are lucky. Why not come and burn off just a few calories in preparation for the big day!
