Chew Valley

This 16 mile ride takes us around Chew Valley Lake.  Meeting at Winford Manor Hotel, we will be taking on a section of the Great Weston Ride (a fabulous 56-mile challenge bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare that follows a spectacular route through the Mendips and across the Somerset Levels on 21 July 2013)  http://www.greatwestonride.com/index.htm

This is a challenging ride, hilly in places, along a few main roads ideal for experienced riders.  We will be riding through the pretty villages of Winford, Chew Stoke, West Harptree and Bishop Sutton.

New faces are always welcome. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.  Dress appropriately for the weather. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments afterwards when we get back to the Winford Manor Hotel where there'll be time for a chat and a warming drink or bite to eat.

Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Please ensure a mobile number is provided in case the road is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  If you've any questions please contact Emma on 07718 376168 or [email protected]
