Garforth to Temple Newsam Chat & Ride

This is a mainly off road ride for all types of bike on good tracks so mud is not an issue in these winter months. Total ride distance is approx. 8 miles with a pit stop at Temple Newsam tea rooms to warm up and refuel, so do bring some money if you would like to get some refreshments. We will be going at a leisurely pace which will take us approximately 2 hours, including a break half way round.  Newcomers to Breeze rides as well as those that have completed previous rides are all very welcome. Do make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather, in cold/wet weather it’s good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed and a rain jacket and gloves are a must in the minter months to guard against wind chill. Wearing a helmet is advisable but if you don’t have one please do not worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. If you are arriving by train Garforth station is the nearest although you will have to lug your bike up the steps to cross the bridge. East Garforth station is an easier option, with slops and is not far away but has less frequent trains. The ride will go ahead unless the weather is very unfavourable.
