Baslow Village Hall, Nether End, Baslow

This ride is part of the Peak District Cycling Festival. Car parking is available in the public car park behind the village hall. Public toilets are located in the car park. There is a small snack kiosk at the entrance to the car park and two cafes situated within 5 minutes walk. This is a hilly road ride, mainly on quieter back roads however we will have to ride a very short section on a busier main road. Starting from the village of Baslow, we will pass through Great Longstone and Little Longstone on our way to Monsal Head.  From there our route will take us through Foolow, Eyam, Froggatt and Curbar. There will be plenty of opportunities on route to catch our breath and admire the view, including the stunning Monsal Head overlooking the viaduct. Approx 18 miles The ride is best suited to women who already ride, have a level of fitness to get up the hills and are confident on the roads. We will be stopping for a well deserved coffee and cake so please bring some money. Please dress appropriately for the weather and you’ll need to bring a drink, snack to keep you going, spare inner tube and puncture repair kit. If you have any questions for more information on all of our rides please see our Facebook page Breeze network Derbyshire Look forward to seeing you there! Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers.
