Greenham Common Evening Social Ride

This is a pleasant and sociable evening spin around Greenham Common. Greenham Common has a network of well-maintained gravel paths along fairly flat terrain, if a little exposed sometimes. The ride will be mostly in the dark, so lights are a necessity. Although this may be a new adventure for some, it’s perfectly manageable to cycle round Greenham in the dark as the paths are nice and wide and flat. As this may be around dusk, there is the possibility of spotting bats out and about as well as the usual cows, horses and plenty of rabbits! Helmets and suitable clothing are recommended, especially as it can cool down quite quickly. The gravel paths can lead to punctures so carrying spare inner tubes is also recommended! If you fancy staying out a bit longer, there will be a second ride starting at 7.30 for another hour. We will be riding approximately 10 miles. We will meet at the car park at the junction of Pinchinton Lane and Greenham Road.
