Starting point

LU6 1SL

Outside Pedalworks Bike Shop, West Street, Dunstable

Come and join us for a gentle ride from Dunstable to Whipsnade and Kensworth before stopping for a cup of tea at the visitor centre on Dunstable Downs, returning back to Dunstable to end the ride at The Travel Hub. The ride will take us through Bennets Rec and Cemetery Lane to the Downs where we join up with a tarmac bridleway before heading up hill towards the National Trust visitor centre.  Here there will be plenty of opportunity to stop and admire the view before heading on to Whipsnade and Kensworth. This is a nice ride for beginners, there is a fairly steep hill to cycle up but you’ll be encouraged to take your time and we can always get off and walk! The route is all road or tarmac paths suitable for all types of bicycles although there is a very small section where we may need to get off and push our bikes along a footpath (50m)    Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome. We’ll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.  Dress appropriately for the weather and please bring some money for the cafe stop! Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. For more information on rides please see our Facebook page Breeze Network Luton and Beds. Look forward to seeing you there!
