RG22 4RA

The aim is to ride to Crabtree avoiding War Memorial Park watch some at least of the fireworks hopefully from there and if a still night hear the music too! I may change the route depending on the weather etc but we will probably have to access the park from Grove Road then Black Dam Way but I will look at routes. Say approx 11 miles. Some cycle path, some lit roads then and we may have to deal with some traffic but we will ride safely as a group it's not a long road section. You will probably be OK on a road bike if you are prepared to be able to confidently deal with potentially slippy leaves and some debris on the paths, some bumps, and a very short unmade section through Crabtree – most of the route is gravel paths and tarmac. Make sure you have working lights front and back batteries charged/not going to run out and wear clothing that’s as visible as possible – I will bring a couple of spare hi viz vests in case. If you do all this it will be fun! Do keep an eye on the weather as nothing worse than misjudging it and we can change plans if the fireworks are going to be a washout. Here is the fireworks info: http://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/go/fireworks Any queries, [email protected] or follow facebook.com/breezingstoke or twitter @breezingstoke Cheers,
Ruth
