Crook Log Leisure Centre Brampton Road Bexleyheath Meet in the car park by the main reception

London Explorer This ride can be found on Map My Ride 'London Explorer' It is suitable for mountain or hybrid bikes. It's about 34 miles long. The route will go through Shooters Hill, Greenwich Park, the Cutty Sark, Limehouse Basin, Regent's canal, Victoria Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, Stratford, Woolwich and the Thames path. Coffee break at the Timber Lodge QEP. The ride is mostly traffic free but there is a section on a busy road so ladies must be confident of riding in traffic. The route is mainly flat with two uphill stretches at the beginning & end. We will try to keep up a good speed so we keep warm but don't worry no one will be left behind. What to bring: rideable bike, water, snack, money for refreshments a smile. Other useful things, a helmet, spare inner tube, cycle locks & lights. Please dress for the British weather, in layers and with a waterproof jacket. This is a lovely ride that has some iconic London views so we have plenty to look at and talk about. Looking forward to sharing it with you.
