This is a Spring family ride aimed at primary and junior school children. Mothers and children should book on the Breeze ride - this is just an online booking system for Dads! We don't want you missing out! Book your kids here if Mum isn't coming too. You can park at Sandiway library, but the start of the ride is a 5 minute walk away. There is also Cuddington train station nearby if you do not want to drive here. The start of the ride is at the entrance to Kennel woods, Kennel Lane, Sandiway. Be careful crossing the busy road between the library and Kennel woods. We will pedal along the quiet lane and forest tracks towards the Whitegate Way and back. We can look out for Spring flowers and birds, and visit the puppies at the kennels along the way. After our bike ride, we will go to Sandiway library for some indoor activities! We will hear a story and have some well-earned refreshments. Perhaps we will hear the story of the famous local hound the 'Blue Cap' which gives the pub it's name. Ryan Reid, our local PCSO, has kindly offered to security mark our bikes too! Be sure to get to the start of the ride in good time so we can leave promptly. You will need to be dressed for Spring weather with a cycling helmet, gloves and raincoat. Bikes should be in good working order with the tyres pumped up. I just can't wait to lead this wonderful Spring family bike ride! See you there! Claire :-) Helmets must be worn by anyone under 18 years. Younger children must be on a child seat fixed to the adult's bike, on a trailer or tag-along bike, your child must be a confident rider if they are on their own bike. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too. Please bring along equipment to fix a puncture - ride leaders will try and help you out, but are not responsible for your bike.
