York

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Starting from the Door 84 Youth Centre this Sky Ride Local travels through inner city walls along the river Ouse and crosses the Millennium Bridge before we head into Rowntree Park for a lap. We will pass by the old Terry's chocolate factory before heading out to take a look at York Race course.  There will be time to have some refreshments here, so please make sure to pack some sandwiches. After a brief stop to catch our breath we will head back into York and take a spin past Clifford’s Tower before crossing the new Palmer cycle path bridge on the way back to the Door 84 Youth Centre.
