The second ride to help you prepare for the summer sportives with this 50 mile ride from Upminster to Southend Pier. We return via Hadleigh Park where we will stop for a well earned rest.
2 hills, up to Laindon Hills and Bread & Cheese Hill.
This isn't a race and no one will be dropped even if you have to walk up the hills. This is the opportunity to start your training for the Ride London 100 or a BHF ride. The ride is entirely on road, or road side paths.
All participants are expected to bring: • A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. (If in doubt, have it checked over by a local bike shop or qualified mechanic). • Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers. • Dress for the weather. • A drink and energy bar. • Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.
