This is a short 8 mile route from Middlewich through country lanes out towards bradwall and back.

This ride is aimed specifically at those who are either new to cycling or would like to ride in a group but are unsure or nervous of doing so. If you want a taste of how a group ride works this is an ideal ride to try it out.

This ride is limited to six riders to keep it small and friendly for everyone and there are only Two basic rules for the ride:
1. We will ride at the pace of the slowest rider.
2. No-one gets left behind.

Once the ‘official’ ride has finished I will be more than happy to ride again with anyone who wants to have a go at extending their distance.

The weather may be cool and so please dress accordingly, you are likely to still get a little chilly on the bike with the wind. Please also remember to bring a water bottle as keeping properly hydrated is very important.

We will take a number of photos before, during and after the ride which will be posted on the Middlewich Cycling Labs Facebook page.
If you wish to join us on this ride then please register your interest here, and also join our Facebook page Middlewich Cycling Labs. where any last minute changes etc are likely to be announced.
For everyones enjoyment and safety please read our ride advice and tips on our Facebook page, and the ‘Lets Ride’ terms and conditions page - Please note that helmets are compulsory on ALL Cycling Labs organised rides.
Note – at this time of year the weather can change quickly, and last minute changes or cancellations whilst unlikely can occasionally occur – please check our Facebook page before setting off to the meeting point – any last minute changes will posted on the Facebook page by 8am.
Bike Maintenance is crucial for you and the group to enjoy the ride. On route punctures can and will happen, so please be sure you have at least one spare tube and the tools to fix it. You will have plenty of people willing to help, so no need to worry. Also making sure your bike is well maintained will make the ride easier for you and your bike will last longer. Any questions please ask before or during the ride. We will be happy to help.

Im also happy to run this route Twice if there is enough interest.

The Legal Bit.
Riders who are minors (under 16) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of, minors in their party as well as looking out for their own health and safety and that of other riders throughout the ride.
Riders, therefore, take part at their own risk and are strongly encouraged to ensure they wear suitable personal protection equipment, that their machines are properly serviced and in good condition, and to arrange their own personal insurance arrangements. In particular, riders must make their own assessment of the suitability of the proposed route in light of the ability and fitness level of every person in their party.
