Outside the Heath Robinson Museum, Pinner Memorial Park

You can see a taste of the work of sculptor Eva Cowan http://pinnerartsweek.com/artists/studios/eva-cowan/ and painter Brian Cowan http://pinnerartsweek.com/artists/studios/brian-cowan/ outside their beautiful ancient cottage on this ride. This is part of the Pinner Arts Week Breeze Cycling Festival. As the ride includes an off-road track, road bikes with smooth tyres are not suitable - you need a hybrid or mountain bike. All riders are welcome and we always go at the pace of the slowest. We will begin from Daisy's, ride up the High Street and over Pinner Park Farm, the last working farm in Harrow. Then we pass through Harrow Weald and Belmont to skirt around Stanmore. We cross Byron Recreation Ground, pass through Wealdstone on the cycle route and stop at the moated Headstone Manor, once the hunting lodge of the Archbishop of Canterbury, for coffee. We visit Tudor Cottage in Moss Lane to see the Cowans' work, before returning to West House where you can see the photography exhibition if you like http://pinnerartsweek.com/artists/photographers/. All visits are free of charge. Please ensure that your tyres are pumped up before the ride and your brakes work. Please bring water, a lock for your bike and some money for refreshments. Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately, wearing non-baggy clothing that will not get caught in the bike chain. We have a Facebook page - Breeze Network Harrow. Please Like this page to keep up to date with our rides. We are a friendly and sociable bunch and look forward to seeing you!
