Beehive 30 Mile Winter Treat

Want to go that bit further, come along and enjoy a fairly challenging 30 mile ride along the rolling country lanes. We will be heading out of Polesworth riding through a number of beautiful villages and open country side through North Warwickshire, skirting Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. Towards the half-way point there is a stop off at the Beehive café which is known for its cooked breakfast (bring some change). The route then takes us back through Botany Bay, Lullington, Alvecote then we have the final hill up Robey’s Lane before heading back down into Polesworth. This ride is suited for a road or hybrid bike as there is a few inclines and not for beginners. Please ensure you have a good level of fitness and can average the 11-13mph. Please bring a helmet and puncture repair kit and spare inner tube just in case. The ride roughly takes 150mins cycling time and about 20-30mins break at the beehive but please allow more time just in case the pace is slower than anticipated or we have a puncture. Due to the time of year please ensure you have plenty of thin layers on to keep you warm and bring a drink and snack to keep you going. IMPORTANT INFORMATION     In the eventuality of a hard frost please bring Mountain bikes and we will do an alternative route.  To avoid confusion on which bike to bring you will be contacted via email/text to bring your mountain bike the night before the ride this is only if Frost occurs again.
