This is a real history trip touching many eras. Starting in sight of the lovely St Stephen's Church, you circle National Trust property Kingston Lacy on wide bridleways with beautiful countryside views.  You then go on to visit Shapwick village via country lanes before climbing up and around Badbury Rings to observe the mile long Beech tree avenue planted as an anniversary present for the Lady of the Manor.
