Delamere Forest BIG Bike Ride

THIS IS A MORE CHALLENGING RIDE THAN THE REGULAR BREEZE DELAMERE FOREST BIKE RIDE. It is a 13 mile ride incorporating the waymarked Whitemoor Trail and other trails in Delamere Forest. It will start with a steep climb to the top of Old Pale hill to be rewarded with fabulous views across Cheshire and the adjoining counties (don't worry about pushing your bike up this section, we'll be taking it at a very relaxed pace!). After that it is fairly flat riding on good forestry tracks. It will be a social ride at a moderate pace. There is a cafe next door to the Visitor Centre so bring some money for post-ride tea and cake. For anyone who really doesn't want to do the initial climb it will be possible to sit this section out in the cafe and then join the group as we ride past. It will also be possible to skip the final 2 mile loop. You will enjoy this ride more if you have either a hybrid or mountain bike. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLIER START TIME OF 10.00AM.
