Come and join me for a ride through lovely Surrey countryside.

The ride starts at Carshalton Beeches station and we head off at a gentle climb towards Woodmansterne, Banstead and Walton on the Hill. Then a bit of steeper climbing to Headley, where turn off to the long downhill run along the lovely Juniper valley. Then, avoiding to urge to climb Boxhill, we carry on towards Dorking, past Denbies, and take the old Coach Road towards Brockham. Once refreshed, we'll do a circular tour around the villages of Betchworth, Leigh and Strood Green before returning to Brockham and making our way back to Dorking Station to catch the train back to Carshalton area (anytime single is £6.60)

This ride is most suitable for road bikes, or hybrids with road tyres. Mainly quiet country lanes.

Our cafe stop will be The Reading Room in Brockham, or if it's warm, maybe the Royal Oak beer garden.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order and please bring a helmet, spare inner tube, drinks and snacks.
