This is a brand new ride through from St Helens into Cheshire using roads , trails and NCRs , it has a few hills involved which takes in the old runcorn bridge crossing , there is a cafe I believe at the boat lift , should make for a belting new ride !

This is a brand new route for The FCs Satdy Club thanks to Louise Turner for finding this route . It heads out from St Helens using Trails ,roads , Cycle paths including some NCR routes . This will be a challenging ride at around 44 miles with some climbing .

roads , trails and Cycle paths /NCR routes

This is a recce ride for us , but there will be plenty of stop offs/photo oppertunities along the way , we will go over the old Runcorn bridge which should give some stunning views .

Make sure your bike is in good order , and carry at least 2 innertubes and a pump or CO2 cylinders , also suitable clothing for the weather on the day , as well as bringing some money for lunch .

Please note this is a 44 mile ride , its a more challenging ride than normal , please make sure you are capable of the distance , we are no chain gang but will be hoping for 10 to 11 mph pace average for this ride .
