Starting point

West Yorkshire

Join us on this fantastic, scenic 21mile ride in and around the stunning Bronte Country to the north of Bradford. The route begins in Mountain, Queensbury, at the Raggalds Pub (BD13 1NA) and then takes us through the village of Denholme and over to Haworth via peaceful, country lanes.
We then cycle up the famous Haworth cobbled Main Street and continue on to Penistone Country Park. Here you can take in the stunning view of Haworth Moor, the dramatic surroundings that inspired Emily Bronte to write her popular novel Wuthering Heights.
A long descent takes us down to Oxenhope where we may see a steam train or two. Here we will also have a well-earned rest at The Kitchen Café Bar where the hot chocolate and cakes are to die for!!
Then it’s on to Hewenden Viaduct which forms part of the Great Northern Railway Trail. Built in the second half of the 19th century, this viaduct offers stunning views and stands as a testament to Victorian engineering.
Bear in mind that this is Bradford so there are a few hills to climb but the amazing views will be well worth the effort. This will be a steady pace ride between 10 -12 mph and we will take it easy up the hills.
If you are driving to the start point you are welcome to use the Raggalds pub car park. Please don’t forget to bring some money and most importantly a bike lock for the café stop. See you soon.
