Come and Join us on our Active Newcastle - Saturday Social Ride up to Gibside.

We will be heading along to the Quayside over the Millennium Bridge and along the National Cycle Route 14 up to Derwent Valley and up into Gibside National Trust. This route has a number of hills and is NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS.

We will stop off at Gibside for a chance to grab a drink and a piece of cake. If you buy a cake you get a free cuppa so thats always a bonus.

Due to changes in our programme from October 2017, we will not be offering free bike hire on our social rides for the foreseeable future. If you would like to hire a bike from The Cycle Hub, there will now be a small charge of £5 for a bike, to book your bike please call The Cycle Hub on 0191 276 7250 and give 24 hours notice. Any questions regarding the ride, please contact [email protected]

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you cannot make the ride, please cancel your place as these rides are very popular, we want to give as many people the opportunity to go on these rides.
