See map on https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BE9bVyA25SwO56nNgzmlIH1qpdU&usp=sharing A superb ride out over Borough on the Hill then along the ridge passing three of the windmills and a ford, with a stop at the Geese and Fountain pub run by very right on landlords who only supply local beers, pay their staff well and are cycle friendly. (Accommodation available too on another occasion, plus the chance to fully sample some of their amazing food and craft beers, cidre etc.) The way back is shorter and includes views of Belvoir Castle as we pass the edge of the estate. Avoiding melton Mowbray and the dreaded A 607 a delight of quiet small lanes keep the ride up on higher ground until Asfordby on the Hill and then following the River Wreake through the wobbly village of Hoby, returning to the start along the Melton Road from Syston. I can't wait!
