Askham

Starting in the picturesque village of Askham, this ride takes in some great, quiet country lanes with some excellent views along the way.

Passing through picturesque villages along the way before the amazing sight of Haweswater Reservoir comes in to view, soon after you reach the halfway point of the ride at the beautiful Haweswater Hotel where you can take a break for some refreshments. Here the views along Haweswater are stunning and well worthy of the 7 miles to reach them.

From there the route makes its way back to Askham on a different route passing by an old red post box and a stunning bridge over the River Lowther.

There is another chance for some refreshments as you we end the ride back at the Queens Head Inn, Askham.
