Beating the winter blues

The ride is all on road. Mainly quiet country lanes. Starting off from the Hunters Lodge, Leigh Common, BA9 8LD we will turn left and start with a long gradual incline, before turning right under the A303 and immediately right again out towards Stoke Trister. We then turn right onto Shaftesbury Lane heading out towards Wincanton. At the end turn right to go back over the A303, and into Wincanton, turn right at the end, out towards Bayford and back to the Hunters Lodge where we can have a drink. (They do a great hot chocolate)
Please wear a helmet. Use any bike type so long as it’s in working order – make sure your tyres are well inflated. • Bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump (plus puncture repair kit if you have one). • Also, bring water and money for a drink after • Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather (that won’t get caught in your chain etc) layers are good for the winter. NB - Please arrive BEFORE 1000 (if you're new to Breeze about 10 mins early) so we've got time to chat/discuss the route - then we'll set off promptly All welcome - this is a leisurely fun ride to motivate you into cycling throughout the winter as well as taking in the scenery and having a chat along the way.
