This is an easy quiet ride for women new to road cycling, who would like to gain confidence and practise their skills. We'll begin at the Civic Centre and take a few practice turns round the car park before going out on the road. We follow quiet roads to Harrow Recreation Ground for a cuppa in the cafe and come back by a different route.
If you need a bike you can hire one beforehand from Harrow Cycle Hub on this link for £5: https://club.spond.com/landing/courses/harrowcyclehub/4FA37BFB9A4E43C2966D5A5B5B05E0D2/main_products You will need to arrive 15 minutes early - at 10.45 - so that we can find the right bike for you. Please message the ride leader if you are hiring a bike.
If bringing your own bike please ensure that the wheels and pedals turn freely, the brakes work and the tyres are pumped up. We cannot fix your bike for you, so please ensure it is in full working order.
No special gear is needed but please ensure that you wear non-baggy trousers which will not get caught in the bike. Gloves are useful and a card to pay for drink at the cafe. There is a toilet at the cafe.
