BEGINNERS SOCIAL CYCLE RIDE

Tuesday morning leisurely bike rides for everyone (including Livewell clients) are the perfect way to travel across Derby, meet new people and enjoy exercise. Each ride lasts 1.5 -2 hours with a well-deserved rest stop and cuppa along the way.

The routes follow the fantastic cycle paths around the city, so are mostly off-road – ideal for increasing confidence.

We stop at a cafe for a cuppa somewhere along the route. Card payments are preferred at most cafes.

All riders are expected to wear helmets and be dressed suitably for the weather including footwear (please no flip flops). Bikes should be roadworthy including working brakes. Ideally riders should carry a basic maintenance kit with them. We will always help with basic repairs that might be needed during the ride.

We are a friendly bunch and welcome first timers. We never leave anyone behind and we will always adapt routes to suit.
