Bikes to Barges

Leaving the Leisure Centre through Garden City to the Greenway Cycle Path, we will follow this until Kingsway, then we will head off along Lanes in the direction of Mickle Trafford from there we will head for Ince along busier roads so you should be confident cycling in traffic, we will cycle along the Oil Sites Rd to arrive at the Boat Museum, our return route will take us on the canal for a short distance and we will then head towards the Cheshire Oaks shopping park, from there we will head towards Shottick and then rejoin the Cycle Path back to the Leisure Centre. this will be a easy going ride with an average of 10/12 mph and not a speedy ride, we need to stick together as a group and be considerate to all in the group so that no one feels they are slowing down the pace.

A visit to the Lovely Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port

This ride will have a mixture of Traffic Free Cycle Paths, Quiet Lanes, a short distance on a Canal Path, and busy roads,

We will be taking a 1 hr refreshment break at the Museum, it’s a lovely cafe that serve hot and cold food, or you could go exploring if you dont want to visit the cafe.

Please bring a helmet a spare inner tube and funds for refreshments, the cafe does accept card payments.
