Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, Silverdale

A varied and interesting route taking in many beautiful villages and hamlets of Cumbria and Lancashire, passing many waterways, be it estuary, river, canal, stream or open sea. Setting off from one of Britain’s most celebrated nature reserves for migrant water birds, you'll pass through iconic limestone outcrops and take in vistas ranging from nuclear power stations to the hills of Yorkshire and the majestic Morecambe Bay.
