Plymbridge Woods National Trust Car Park

Plymbridge Woods

This is a beginners ride for adults (16+), suitable for anyone new to group riding, nervous of riding on the roads, or coming back to cycling after a period off two wheels.

This weekly ride will take place every Thursday meeting at the car park in Plymbridge Woods (Plympton side) by the blue container. Please arrive at 6.15pm as the ride will leave promptly at 6.30pm.

This route explores the traffic free path along the Plym Valley Trail passing Bickleigh and farm lands up to Clearbrook where we return via the same path. Each week we will aim to get a little further up the trail. The pace will be easy at the speed of the slowest rider and no-one will be left behind.

Bike and helmet hire is available for £3. We will supply hand sanitiser and clean equipment before and after use. Please try to bring your own helmet whenever possible, however if you do not have one we will supply this for you.

If you have your own bike please make sure it’s in good working before arriving. It is recommend you carry a spare inner tube on the ride in case you have a puncture.

We recommend you bring a drink and something warm to put on as it can get chilly coming back down the trail.

Important information: If you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms please do not attend the ride. Participants should also observe social distancing measures where possible.
