A large proportion of the route around the lake is flat however there are some steeper descents and ascents around the North West Corner of the lake so bike needs to be in safe condition and rider needs to be able to ride safely up and down hills - total ascent is 115 metres.

Mostly off road, some single track with small amount of traffic on short section of road near the visitor centre

Group can decide

Helmets, suitable clothes for conditions, spare inner tubes, tyre levers, pump and basic tool kit advisable
