Cole Valley Explorer

A steady fifteen mile ride taking in the best cycle route south of Birmingham alongside the River Cole. Setting off from Billesley Common the route will test your riding skills as you meander through the Moseley Bog Nature Trail before making your way to the pathways of the Shire Country Park where a short stop at Sarehole Mill Museum will remind you of Birmingham's industrial past as well as discovering links to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The route then heads out towards Earlswood, where a brief section will test your hill climbing skills, before making your way back to Billesley via the North Stratford Canal. Along the way there is the opportunity stop off at a local pub for refreshments where you might be in with a chance of seeing a real live working canal drawbridge in operation.   This ride is organised in partnership with Birmingham Wellbeing Service and Big Birmingham Bikes.
