Starting from - The starting point is at the De Aston School staff car park on Willingham Road in Market Rasen. Please arrive by 09:15 for a M check and pre-ride briefing.
This is a challenging ride, not so much the climbing as there is only one hill of note, but because of the length of the ride and we will be travelling on some busy roads in Lincoln. The ride is 47 miles long with around 1200ft of climbing and will average around 12mph. From Market Rasen we will follow the Sustran Route 1 to Lincoln to the River Witham where we will leave it for a short while to negotiate Pelham Bridge and Canwick Hill in Lincoln. After the cafe stop we go back down Canwick Hill and join Route 1 again at Washingborough. There is then a 6.5 miles of traffic free riding along the Water Railway to Bardney. From Bardney we head back to Market Rasen via taking some back routes to Wragby.
Please check you have good brakes on your bike as we have a very steep descent to a main road in Lincoln. The route into the International Bomber Command is not very bike friendly being loose gravel over a rubber matting. It is possible to ride on with care. LN8 3RB

From Market Rasen we will follow the Sustran Route 1 to Lincoln to the River Witham where we will leave it for a short while to negotiate Pelham Bridge and Canwick Hill in Lincoln. I have allowed for an hour cafe stop just in case people want to look around. After the cafe stop we go back down Canwick Hill and join Route 1 again at Washingborough. Please remember to bring a spare inner tube suitable for your bike, a working pump and money for the cafe/s.
