This is an all day affair following the King Alfred's way out of Rdg down through pretty little villages with some stunning views. Following canal towpaths, bridlepaths and cycleways with some quiet lanes (one main road) sections there will be stops spread throughout the route 1st 12 miles, 2nd 25miles (for food) and 3rd 31 miles halfway up a steep hill. We will also stop at the tops of any climbs. The finishing point of this ride is a pub right next to the train Stn where we wait for the train home

Most of the route is off road ie towpaths, bridlepaths and cycleways with only one short section on a main road. All of this route can be done on any bike apart from super skinny lightweight racers.

As above 12,26,31miles and at the end

Puncture repair kit/spare tube (others will help if new to this) Hydration (water bottle) and snacks Money to buy me beers

First-timers welcome!
