We will meet at 9.30 for a 9.45 a.m. start. The meeting point is by the old Packhorse Bridge on Denton Road LS29 0DA in Ilkley (opposite the Clifford Road junction.) There is plenty of parking on this stretch of Denton Road, or you could put your bike on the train. The route takes us out through Nesfield to Bolton Bridge and Bolton Abbey, where we'll have a refreshment stop before heading back, This is a great route to boost confidence on quiet roads while taking in plenty of gorgeous scenery along the Wharfe Valley and the spectacular ruins of Bolton Abbey on the banks of the Wharfe.

This is a flattish ride (elevation 546 ft.) but there are a couple of short hills - after all, this is Yorkshire!

Bring a roadworthy bike and wear clothing that you will be comfortable cycling in. Dress appropriately for the weather too: several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. Wearing a helmet is advisable. It's advisable to bring a drink and a snack for top-ups along the way, also some money for refreshments when we stop.

We welcome newcomers on Breeze rides and no-one will get left behind.

My number on the day is 07725 743305. I look forward to meeting you
