Bovingdon Green with Holly Hedges Cut Thru, Watford Cycle Hub Social Rides

This is a wonderful opportunity to do a Challenging 20+ mile route, at a STEADY, leisurely pace, probably averaging about 10 mph over the undulating route. This will be a relaxed Social Ride, with a leisurely cafe / deli or pub break - for the group to decide what they would prefer on the day! : ) You will be lead you along some of the most lovely local country lanes: through Loudwater and Sarratt, across to Flaunden, looping back to Bovingdon Green and taking the 'Holly Hedges Cut Thru' which is a country lane less traveled, often missed and not known about, but well worth discovering! : ) We will aim to cycle the route with you over two hours but have allowed for stoppage time, and a leisurely, unhurried cafe / deli / pub break. We expect to be back at the Hub by about 1:30pm. Please carefully consider the forecast temperature on the day and wear layers accordingly, and possibly bring a rucksack / rackpack / panniers to stow them in. Gloves, hat &/or a buff also are recommended. We want you to be happy and warm enough and don't want anyone to suffer with the cold, as this will not be a Speedy Gonzales paced ride! : ) Please bring: Two spare inner tubes (or you can buy from Watford Cycle Hub before the start if you have need); a drink and snack; & money if you want to buy anything at the refreshment stop en route. Georgia will be your Ride Leader for this ride is really looking forward to cycling with you, and sharing some of the lanes she loves with you, so you can enjoy them too. : )
