Starting point

South Yorkshire
S6 6LB

A steady ride in a beautiful part of Sheffield with stunning views across the Loxley Valley and Dam Flask.

This ride is open to anyone aged 16+ and is also the 2nd ride in the 'Ride for Eric 2018' series where we aim to support those who are training to take part in the 25km sportive on the 20th May.
This route will be on some of the roads from the sportive itself so get ready for some hills!

We will start at the School Rooms Cafe in Lower Bradfield and then head out anticlockwise towards New Road which runs alongside the Dam giving us amazing views of the local countryside and the Dam itself.

We will then join the main Loxley Road (where we face our main climb of 190ft in just over half a mile) before turning off down a country lane where we can get our breath back on the way back down into Lower Bradfield.

We will do the route twice but there is the option to only do one lap if needed. After 2 laps we will finish back at the School Rooms Cafe for a well deserved brew (and cake obviously!!).

To sign up to the Ride for Eric Sportive please follow this link: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/174909/Ride-for-Eric-2018

NB: This route does involve some hills on a main road which can become busy at weekends.
The ride is open to anyone aged 16+ as well as those preparing for the Ride for Eric Sportive but spaces must be booked through this website to guarantee a place. All riders must wear a helmet and follow the safety advice and guidance of our Guided Ride Leaders whilst out on the roads.
