Brantingham Breezers Ride to Hotham

We've had hilly or very windy rides recently so this is intended to be an easier ride through Ellerker, South and North Cave to Hotham where it's always a treat to go through the parkland. On the way back, we'll loop round through Everthorpe.

We’re a friendly group of ladies who go out from the Triton for a ride of about 14 – 18 miles on Wednesday mornings for a cycle, coffee and a chat.

The ride will be at a steady pace - that's about 10 - 11 mph along the flat. Most ladies who come have hybrid, touring or road bikes. People do come on heavier, shopping type bikes, but it's quite hard work for them.

We go out in most weathers, but nevertheless, I will cancel the ride if the temperature is forecast to be 3 degrees or lower or if there is a weather warning for conditions which would make the ride dangerous.

Quiet lanes and roads with the occasional busier stretch.

There's always a coffee stop and stops to admire the view (if any!), have a breather and a drink.

Helmets are advisable. Please bring an inner tube, suitable clothing (if you have too many layers, you can put extra clothes in my pannier but remember to retrieve them afterwards!), lights and a bike lock if you have them and money for refreshments.
