We’re a friendly group of ladies who go out from the Triton for a ride of about 14 – 18 miles on Wednesday mornings for a cycle, coffee and a chat.

The plan for this ride is to go via Ellerker to North Cave, possibly with a detour round Everthorpe, and then ride through the park to see the daffs.

The ride is at steady pace - that's about 10 - 11 mph along the flat. Most ladies who come have hybrid, touring or road bikes. People do come on heavier, shopping type bikes, but it's quite hard work for them especially on the hillier rides.

We go out in most weathers, but nevertheless, I will cancel the ride if there is a danger of ice or if there is a weather warning for conditions which would make the ride dangerous.

If you've queries, please contact me, Shirley on 07480 409 869

I'll try to post details of the route nearer the time when I've seen the weather forecast - and wind direction/strength.

Quiet lanes and roads with the occasional busier stretch.

There's always a coffee stop and stops to admire the view (if any!), have a breather and a drink.

Helmets are advisable. Please bring an inner tube, suitable clothing (if you have too many layers, you can put extra clothes in my pannier but remember to retrieve them afterwards!), lights and a bike lock if you have them and money for refreshments.

First-timers welcome!
