This is a challenging and long ride, involving roads with light and medium traffic and some climbing, particularly in the first part of the ride. It is an opportunity for you to conquer the 100 kilometre distance.
Before signing up to the ride, you should be confident of being able to ride at least 40 to 50 miles previously, and to ride for more than 2 hours, before a refreshment break. You should be able to re-fuel (food and drink) on the bike, as we will need to keep the group moving forward.
However, do not be put off!! If you are riding a road bike regularly in traffic and can maintain a pace of round 12 to 14 mph, you should be able to complete this ride.
