Breeze along to Great Eccleston

We start off from the pavilion café in Avenham park and head clockwise round the Guildwheel to Millar Green. Here we leave the cycle path and join quiet country lanes through woodplumpton, catforth Inskip and finally Great Eccleston. We then head south to Elswick and on through Wharles, Treales and lea Town. We then ride onto Ashton park cross over the Riversway where we rejoining the Guildwheel at Preston Marina. We then travel back along the Guild wheel to the pavilion.

This is a steady ride aimed at women who are confident on a bike, wish to extend the length of their rides

This is a circular route around the quiet lanes north of Preston passing through small Hamlets and stopping halfway for coffee. All bikes are suitable for this terrain but must be in a road worthy condition.

We will be stopping in Great Eccleston where we can enjoy a coffee at the Courtyard tearoom.

Please bring some water and a snack and some money if you wish to purchase food and/or drink at the coffee stop. Be prepared for cold/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair

This is a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
