Breeze Derby - Lovely Lumpy Lanes (from Darley Park)

We will ride out through Allestree and on to some of the many lanes and through some of the many villages to the West of Derby - Mercaston, Brailsford, Lees, Thurvaston, Sutton on the Hill - to name just a few. The return journey will be either be along The Great Northern Cycle Way or Radbourne Lane. As the title suggests there will be hills but they are pretty steady and add up to around 1000 feet over the 25 miles.

This ride is a real mixture - some urban, busier roads will be encountered but it's mostly along quiet country lanes which are very varied in condition - there are a fair few pot holes to keep us on our toes. The Great Northern Cycle Way is a hard packed gravel trail which is traffic free.

There will be a cafe stop towards the end of the ride.

Helmets are advised - I will be wearing one. The Covid Bit - This ride will adhere to the current social distancing requirements at all times, from car park to cafe and including stopping at junctions. Please bring everything with you that you might need on the ride eg spares, tools, extra clothing, snacks and drink, sharing is not encouraged. There is no need to wear a mask on the ride but one will be required for the cafe stop or for a mechanical so it's probably best to have one handy. Please do not ride if you feel unwell, have Covid symptoms or have been advised to self isolate. If you test positive after the ride, please let the ride leader know.
