A lovely ride to enjoy nature and with some history too. We can't avoid roads completely, but much of the route will be traffic free, along the Alban Way and possibly a loop through Highfield Park. We'll go nice and slow, especially when we are sharing the space with people walking. We'll stop for a breather and to take in the nature and history from time to time.
The Cottonmill Community and Cycling Centre is a little bit tucked away, come slowly along Cottonmill Lane as the entrance is hard to spot. It is where the Marlborough Pavilion used to be.
This ride is part of the St Albans Cycle Hub Festival. The community centre cafe and the cycle hub will be open before and after the ride for drinks, ice creams, inner tubes etc. and there will be other festival activities going on.

NB. Don't come if you have Covid, have symptoms or think you might be infectious. There will be other rides if you miss this one! Please bring a face covering and hand gel to use as appropriate, and we will be careful and considerate around each other.
