Breeze Through Kirkham

We start from Avenham pavilion and go clockwise around the guild wheel to Cottam. We then head out west on quiet country roads towards Kirkham passing through Treales on the way. We take the low route into Kirkham then climb the short hill out and enjoy a fast descent to rejoin the quiet country lanes. We head back toward Treales and loop round to our coffee stop..

We leave leave the café and head towards Catforth and then Woodplumpton. It is now a straight run back to the Guildwheel wheel where we retrace our steps back to the start point.
We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour.

This ride is aimed at women who are confident on a bike and want to extend the length of their rides.

This is a circular route around the quiet lanes north of Preston passing through small Hamlets and stopping just over halfway for coffee. All bikes are suitable for this terrain but must be in a road worthy condition.

We will stop of Roots café one of the best cycling cafes in the area.

Please bring some water and a snack and some money if you wish to purchase food and/or drink at the coffee stop. Be prepared for cold/warm/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair

This is a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
