Breeze to Burnhall Woods

Meeting outside Durham Cathedral we will ride south over Prebends Bridge to follow quiet roads and cycle lanes towards Bowburn, where we will turn west to follow bridleways to Croxdale Estate. The Lovely Doctor has Kath has offered to provide coffee at hers (for a small charitable donation). After discovering all of these treasures and taking the obligatory photos we will then climb back from Burnhall up to the Cock of the North Roundabout and follow the cycle path on the A167 before turning back through Mill Hill Lane and across Prebends Bridge, with the possibility of a look at the new cycle parking at the Cathedral and a visit to the café there as well.
A short but interesting ride, considering the potentially poor weather. Please ensure you bring along waterproofs, warm clothing, gloves, buffs and a spare inner tube is always handy.
