About the route
Starting point
Outside Westcroft Leisure Centre, Westcroft Road, Carshalton, by the footbridge into Grove Park. There is free parking in the car park behind the leisure centre.
We will then arrive at our highlight; beautiful Bushy Park. It is the second largest of the Royal Parks with a varied mix of woodland, gardens, ponds and grasslands. We take in Chestnut Avenue with the magnificent Diana fountain, the Baroque Water gardens and hopefully see some of the roaming herds of deer!
After lunch and a rest at the lovely Pheasantry Cafe, we shall pass historic Hampton Court Palace, before returning along the Thames path to route 75.
